What Is Yoga Alliance Registration?
Yoga Alliance is a globally recognised organisation that sets the standards for yoga teacher training courses. It provides a trusted framework for yoga professionals, enabling them to teach and train with confidence in various settings.
Through Yoga Alliance registration, yoga students are designated as Registered Yoga Teachers [RYT 200 and, after advanced training, RYT 500], whereas schools are recognised as Registered Yoga Schools [RYS]. This registration ensures that both teachers and schools maintain high-quality standards, enabling students worldwide to receive authentic, safe and professional yoga education.
To become a Registered Yoga Teacher [RYT], the minimum requirement is completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training course [Level 1].
You can advance your knowledge by enrolling in our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (Level 2), available to students who have already completed a 200 Hour YTT. Upon completing both the 200-hour yoga teacher training course and the 300-hour yoga teacher training course in India, you become eligible to register as a registered yoga teacher [ RYT 500 ]with Yoga Alliance.

We offer the full teacher-training ladder — 100, 200, 300 and 500-hour courses in Rishikesh, plus 200 and 300-hour trainings in Bali, Goa, Kerala and Nepal — alongside specialty trainings (95-hour kids, 85-hour prenatal, yin, tai chi, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra) and customisable yoga, Ayurveda and healing retreats. There is a right starting point for every level, from complete beginner to experienced teacher.
Multiple styles of yoga will be discussed as they can become part of your practice and teaching. These being: Hatha for alignment and balance; Ashtanga for strength and discipline; Vinyasa for movement and flexibility, Yin to stretch deep and Restorative Yoga to get knowledge about resting the body. You will also learn Pranayama, meditation practices and the philosophy of Yoga, providing you with the tools and understanding to teach with confidence and practice with mindfulness.
We keep batches small — a maximum of 20 students — to facilitate personalised learning. Our yoga teachers offer one-on-one sessions to every yoga student to transform their individual practice and teaching skills.
Yes. Pure Soul is a Yoga Alliance-registered school (RYS 200, RYS 300, RCYS and RPYS), so after completing your 200-hour course you are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 — and after the 300-hour, to upgrade to RYT 500 — enabling you to teach yoga professionally anywhere in the world.
