Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and join Pure Soul Yoga School for a healthy aging yoga retreat in Rishikesh.
Discover the transformative power of yoga as you learn to age gracefully, reduce stress and rejuvenate your mind and body. Our experienced yoga teachers will guide you through gentle practices designed to promote flexibility, balance and strength while easing the common companions of aging — fatigue, stiffness and joint discomfort.
Through asanas, pranayama and meditation you will cultivate a sense of calm and inner peace — and with a personal Ayurvedic consultation at the start of your stay, our doctor recommends the traditional anti-aging therapies best suited to your body, from Nasyam to Swedana steam baths, added to your retreat only as you need them.
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Rishikesh, our healthy aging retreat offers a tranquil and supportive environment where you can fully immerse yourself at your own pace. The 7-day program starts on any day of the month, and any length can be customised. Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, old or young, this retreat is the perfect opportunity to take a break from the stresses of daily life and focus on your well-being.
Come join us and experience the transformative power of yoga!
As part of the Healthy Aging Retreat, your stay begins with a consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor, who assesses your individual needs and body constitution (Dosha) and recommends the therapies best suited to you — added to your retreat only as your body needs them. Some of the anti-aging therapies offered include:

A traditional Ayurvedic nasal cleansing therapy that helps improve mental clarity, supports respiratory health, and promotes healthy aging.

A relaxing therapy that improves blood circulation, relieves stress, and nourishes the scalp and nervous system.

An Ayurvedic ear therapy involving the application of medicated oils to support ear health, calm the nervous system, and promote relaxation.

A natural facial treatment using herbal ingredients and therapeutic massage techniques to nourish the skin, improve circulation, and support a healthy, radiant appearance.

A traditional Ayurvedic heat therapy practised to encourage sweating, ease muscle stiffness and leave the body feeling light and refreshed. Steam therapy is also valued in Ayurveda for supporting skin health, relaxation and overall vitality, making it a cherished part of healthy-aging traditions.
Please note: Ayurvedic therapies are prescribed individually after consultation and charged separately, so you only pay for the treatments your body actually needs. One complimentary full-body massage is included with every retreat.
Healthy aging is a daily practice, not a week away — and your retreat is designed to follow you home:
Keep the gentle morning routine alive — flexibility and balance respond to little-and-often far more than to occasional effort.
Follow your doctor's plan at home: the dietary and routine guidance works anywhere in the world.
Many guests return each year as a standing appointment with their own well-being — often for a longer stay.
Continue the quiet path with our de-stress retreat or meditation training whenever you're ready to go deeper.
Your teachers remain with you long after the final class.
“Attending our healthy aging yoga retreat provides numerous benefits to support your overall health, help you age gracefully and enhance your quality of life.”
As we age, our joints and muscles become stiffer, making it harder to move freely. Our retreat helps increase flexibility, making it easier to perform daily activities and reducing the risk of injury.
Aging can affect our balance, making us more prone to falls and injuries. Our retreat practices improve balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls and improving overall stability.
Stress can have a negative impact on health and can even accelerate the aging process. Our retreat helps you reduce stress levels, leading to better mental and emotional health.
As we age, sleep patterns can become disrupted, leading to a range of health issues. By attending our retreat, you can improve sleep quality and feel more rested and rejuvenated.
Meditation, breathwork and gentle movement are widely associated with better concentration, memory and mental clarity — and most guests notice how much clearer their thinking feels after a week of deep rest and practice.
Our healthy aging retreat combines gentle movement, breathwork and rest — practices widely associated with better circulation, lower stress levels and a stronger sense of overall well-being, all of which support healthy living as you age.
At Pure Soul Yoga School, we believe that healing and transformation unfold in a nurturing environment. Every guest stays in a comfortable, spacious private room, and our campus features a beautiful yoga hall, an Ayurvedic massage room and a rooftop terrace with stunning mountain views. We know many international guests worry about food and water in India: all meals are fresh, sattvic and vegetarian, prepared in a hygienic kitchen, filtered drinking water is available around the clock, and our cooks keep the spices gentle for sensitive stomachs.

Your retreat fee covers the full stay: private room, all meals, every yoga and meditation session, your doctor's consultation and one complimentary massage. Ayurvedic therapies are personal — our doctor recommends yours after the consultation and they are charged separately, so you only pay for what your body actually needs. Shorter or longer stays are quoted personally: send us your dates through the enquiry form and you'll receive your quote within 24 hours.

Every health-focused program at Pure Soul Yoga School is guided by Dr. Bhupinder Singh Arora, who earned his M.D. in Ayurveda from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, and has been practising Ayurvedic panchakarma for 16 years.
He has served as an honorary professor and adviser to well-known institutions and is the former Head of the Panchakarma Department at SLN Ayurvedic College, Amritsar. Rooted in traditional Ayurvedic lineages, he is known for his pulse diagnosis (nadi pariksha), leech therapy and panchakarma treatments, which have benefited patients across India and abroad.
How your consultation works
Health note: Our retreats and therapies are intended to support general well-being. They are not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment. The 7-day retreat with a private room is $599 for international guests and ₹49,499 for Indian guests — including your stay, all meals, every yoga and meditation session, your Ayurvedic consultation and one complimentary massage. Shorter or longer stays are quoted personally: send us your dates and you'll have your quote within 24 hours.
No — and this is the question we hear most often. There is no upper age limit: every practice is gentle, chair and prop support is always available, and our teachers adapt each posture to your body. Your stay also begins with an Ayurvedic consultation, so your program is built around your health, not a standard template. If you can breathe, you can do this retreat.
Mornings are gentle Hatha yoga with pranayama; late afternoons draw on Restorative yoga, Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra — the styles most beneficial for healthy aging, as they release tension, calm the mind and promote deep relaxation. Nothing is forced, and every practice adapts to your level.
One full-body Ayurvedic massage is included, along with your initial consultation with our doctor. Further anti-aging therapies — Nasyam, Swedana steam baths, herbal facials and more — are prescribed individually after your consultation and charged separately, so you only pay for the treatments your body actually needs.
