Pure Soul Yoga School is guided by Nanda Kumaraa, known to his students as Gangesha Adi — a name that honours the sacred Ganga flowing through Rishikesh. An E-RYT® 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance, he also holds the RCYT® (children’s yoga), RPYT® (prenatal yoga) and YACEP® (continuing education provider) designations, with more than a decade of teaching experience.
His path weaves together four living streams of wisdom. Initiated as a Brahmachari in the Vedanta & Siddha tradition, he counts the teachings of Sage Thirumular and the Tirumandiram as formative influences on his understanding of yoga as inner alchemy. He later studied Theravada Buddhist meditation in Sarnath, near Varanasi, and completed his training in the Himalayan Tradition of the Swami Rama lineage before settling in Rishikesh — where Ayurveda became the fourth pillar of his teaching.
In his classes you will find a special emphasis on pranayama, yoga nidra, meditation, yogic philosophy and the law of karma, teaching methodology and Ayurveda — always taught gently, so that each student learns not just how a practice is done, but why. He has shared these teachings with students around the world, leading trainings and retreats in the United Kingdom, Spain, Argentina, Russia, Bhutan, Nepal and Uruguay.
For Gangesha Adi, graduation is never the end of a course — it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning, teaching and serving through yoga. That belief is the heart of Pure Soul Yoga School.
