300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India

Advanced asana practice during the 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh

You've completed your 200-hour training and tasted what it means to teach. Now it's time to go deeper.

A 300-hour yoga teacher training is the advanced course that builds on your 200-hour foundation — subtler techniques, deeper philosophy and more refined teaching skills. Completing it at a Yoga Alliance-registered school (RYS 300) like Pure Soul makes you eligible to upgrade your Yoga Alliance registration to RYT 500, the highest standard teaching credential.

Your training unfolds in the spiritual heart of Rishikesh, where the Ganga flows out of the Himalayas. As with everything we teach, the focus stays on the why behind each practice — so the advanced asana, pranayama and philosophy you learn become part of your own understanding, not just your notes. In a group of maximum 20 students, your teachers know your practice personally and help you develop your authentic teaching voice.

The course moves beyond a single style — advanced Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin, Kundalini and Restorative practice, the bandhas, advanced pranayama and yogic philosophy. It concludes with a structured assessment: written work, a practical asana test and a supervised teaching demonstration. On passing, you receive your 300-hour certificate — and with your existing 200-hour certification, you can register as an RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance.

  • Be at least 18 years old.

Course Styles

Yoga Styles You'll Deepen In The 300 Hour Course

You already know these styles from your foundation training. Here, each one is taken further — into advanced variations, subtler alignment and the confidence to teach them at any level.

Hatha Yoga

Advanced Hatha practice deepens the balance of body, breath and mind — refining your alignment and giving you tools to build safe, inspiring classes shaped to your students' needs.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

A powerful style linking breath with movement in a flowing sequence. At the 300-hour level you build strength, endurance and the skill to lead students safely through each posture, regardless of their level.

Yin Yoga

A gentle, slow-paced practice where poses are held for several minutes to reach the deeper connective tissues. You'll learn to sequence and teach Yin as the perfect counterbalance to dynamic styles.

Kundalini Yoga

Practices combining asana, breath, mantra and mudra to awaken the energy at the base of the spine. At this level you learn to guide the practice responsibly and help students release emotional blocks safely.

Restorative Yoga

Fully supported, deeply relaxing postures using props. You refine the art of creating a safe space that guides students into true rest — an essential skill for every senior teacher.

Vinyasa Flow

"Vinyasa" means to place in a special way — the deliberate sequencing of postures in harmony with breath. You'll master creative, intelligent flows that carry both physical strength and meditative depth.

Student Stories

What Our Students Say

I just recently finished my 300 YTTC at Pure Soul Yoga School, and I would like to thank all the staff and the school for an unforgettable and life-changing experience. Throughout the whole course there was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The classes were just about the right amount of challenging, well organized, and the teachers were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The food was delicious, light and nourishing. Overall I found the authentic yogic experience I was looking for — I would absolutely recommend completing your YTTC here. A pro tip: if you come in January, bring warm clothes for the chilly mornings and evenings!
Pure Soul Graduate300 Hour YTT Graduate
My experience at Pure Soul Yoga School was outstanding. All the teachers were very knowledgeable, kind and caring. There was a genuineness about wanting to stay true to their own beliefs and values and sharing that with the students. I learned a lot. The food was amazing too — they really did their best to accommodate everyone, and I loved every meal. I had a lot of luck with my group; we became a little family in a very short amount of time. When I go back to India to do my 300-hour course, I will definitely come back here. Love to all, Namaste.

FAQs

Advanced 300 Hour YTTC Rishikesh, India

How much does the 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh cost?

The course fee is $1,280 (shared room) or $1,480 (private room) for international students, and ₹60,000 (shared) or ₹78,000 (private) for Indian students — including 27 days of accommodation, daily vegetarian/vegan meals, course materials and certification. You reserve your seat with a 20% deposit.

Can I join the 300 hour course without a 200 hour certification?

No — a completed 200-hour yoga teacher training from a Yoga Alliance-registered school is compulsory, as the 300-hour builds directly on that foundation. If you're not yet certified, start with our 200-hour training.

My 200-hour was completed online — can I still join?

In most cases yes, as long as it was with a Yoga Alliance-registered school. Send us a copy of your certificate and we'll confirm your eligibility before you book.

Will I become an RYT 500 after this course?

Yes — after completing our 300-hour training, RYT-200 holders become eligible to upgrade their Yoga Alliance registration to RYT 500. We guide you through the registration process after graduation.

When do the batches run?

The 300-hour runs three times a year — May, September and December — starting on the 7th of the batch month and ending on the 3rd of the following month (27 days). Seats are limited to 20 students per batch, so early booking is recommended.

How is this course different from a 200 Hour YTT?

The 200-hour covers the fundamentals of practising and teaching yoga. The 300-hour goes deeper and subtler — advanced asana, pranayama and bandhas, deeper philosophy, and refined teaching methodology — training you to teach with greater skill than a new RYT-200, and completing your path to RYT 500.

How many students are in each batch?

A maximum of 20 students, so every teacher knows your practice personally and can mentor your teaching individually.

What types of accommodation and meals will I have?

You stay in comfortable, clean rooms (private or shared) at the school, with fresh vegetarian and vegan sattvic meals daily — prepared hygienically, with filtered drinking water available around the clock.

Do you help with the Indian visa and airport pickup?

Yes. We provide a visa invitation letter on request, and pickup from Dehradun (Jolly Grant) Airport — about 40 minutes away — can be arranged at extra cost.

Can I pay in installments?

You secure your seat with a 20% advance deposit and pay the balance on arrival. If you need a different arrangement, write to us — we're happy to discuss a payment plan that works for you.

Can I come with my partner or friend?

Of course. If two people share one private room, the second person is charged separately for their stay and meals — contact us for exact pricing.

What happens if I don't pass the assessment?

Our teachers prepare you thoroughly for the written, practical and teaching assessments. If you need more time, you receive personal support and the chance to be re-assessed — we are here to help you succeed.

What yoga styles are taught during the 300-hour YTTC?

Advanced Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Kundalini and Restorative yoga — alongside advanced pranayama, bandhas, mantra chanting, yoga nidra, philosophy and teaching methodology.
